Hello Books Lover,

I knew you would be back for this final review of this review party dedicated to the unique edition of The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue / The Lady’s Guide to Petticoats and Piracy. The book I remind you was released on 29 September by oscar mondadori in an unforgettable edition that I can’t wait to have in my hands to devour with my eyes, and also to read directly from the pages the short story.

But the story of the Montague brothers certainly did not end here, oh no, there is also a third book that I hope Oscar decides to translate soon which concerns the third brother Montague, which if you have read The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue and/or The Lady’s Guide to Petticoats and Piracy you will remember for sure. He discovered that he has siblings and goes in search of them, but I will not tell you more about this because we will talk about it when he arrives in Italy.

Today’s protagonist, or rather the female protagonist, is the book about Felicity Montague, sister of the charming and full of himself Monty. A few years have passed since the adventure of the first book and Felicity has grown both physically and mentally, but her ambitions have remained the same, after all you are not tenacious and self-confident if you do not chase your dreams for the will of others. Felicity still wants to be a doctor, in fact she has moved to Edinburgh, where a state-of-the-art hospital has just opened, to send apprenticeship letters to every doctor in the area. But as soon as they discover that she is a woman, all she gets is a flat no. And calling between her and her goals is also Callum, the boy who gave her a job for the months she was in Scotland and fell in love with her.

After having to decline his offer of marriage, thus losing her job, Felicity leaves for London to her brother, the only place where she could find refuge at that moment. From here, after some difficulties, a little hope comes, but Felicity has to embark on a journey that does not know where it will actually lead her, besides without money. But a woman proposes to be her benefactor, but for what purpose? After all, if someone offers you a trip, something odd will be there, right? Yet all Felicity can think clearly is that maybe she’ll find what she’s looking for in Germany, which is her apprenticeship.

But as the map already tells us, the journey will not be as smooth as expected and the places she will visit will be many more. A new exciting adventure for Felicity Montague not to be missed, I am now in love with the books and the characters, I can’t stay without them. But the question is, will Felicity be able to find love within her medical apprenticeship?

By now Mackenzi Lee has entered my short list of favorite authors of all time! And nothing can take that place away from her.

Mi chiamo Miriam e sono l'amministratore di Me and Books.
