Elixir – Covenant series #3.5 by Jennifer L. Armentrout

another book I read in a very short time, in this case a couple of hours, in these past few days is Elixir, # 3.5 of the Covenant series by Jennifer L. Armentrout. I must tell you that this review is not in collaboration with any publisher, I do it because I want you to know my opinion on these books, because if you read the reviews of the previous three volumes you will know that the first did not attract me much but from the second on it was a whole other story.
This is not properly a book, but rather a long enough novella, 90-100 pages. Everything is told from Aiden’s point of view.
Alex underwent her transformation and was imprisoned to avoid meeting with Seth thus giving life to the exterminator of Gods. Keep her locked up for Aiden is a real torture, we all know how much he loves her, and even if he does not give up in front of the cruel words and threats of Alex, it breaks his heart to see her like that.
At some point they decide, together with Apollo, that the only solution left to him is to give her the Elixir which is given to the half-bloods to make them docile, but that does not work either, because with the elixir she forgets everything, and even if she remembers her love for Aiden, he wants to save her by making her understand that she is good, and not ordering her.
Thus interrupts the administration of the elixir, and cuts off all communication with Apollo. He talks to Alex, tries to make her remember their love, and sometimes he succeeds.
Aiden will never lose hope, because he knows that their love is stronger than everyone.
Reading a story entirely from Aiden’s point of view was spectacular. I would like to have more of these POVs. I can honestly say that I love more Aiden than Alex at the moment XD
I’m currently reading the fourth volume of the saga, Apollyon, so I will soon let you know how the story continues, while I recommend you read the first three books.
