Hi Books Lovers,

this is the last review before the blog goes on vacation. This review is not sponsored by the publisher, but being an Armentrout fan, I couldn’t help but take this reading to you on the blog.

Wicked it’s different from the other books I’ve read about Armentrout because it’s a new adult fantasy, yet the same the author’s signature everywhere. Like all her other books, it is fresh, with an engaging and never honeyed love story and adventure that the reader would like more.

Our protagonists here are Ivy and Ren, and they are “fae hunters” one could say, they are part of the Order, and they live in New Orleans <3. Ren is obviously the usual charming and very sexy guy, and Ivy instead is the typical girl who underestimates herself internally and externally. But still my favorite character is Tinker Bell, and if you read the book, or have already read it, you will know why.

But in this book there are also twists, mysteries and secrets, all of which are obviously in favor. Every time I read a book by Jennifer I always marvel at how spectacular it is because she always manages to mix love stories in all respects, therefore the romance parts with fantasy, and I often find myself thinking that how many books she has written and still being published I will never be able to read them all. But guys, like many authors who I have been nominating to you lately, also for Armentrout the “a name is a guarantee”. I now read the books of Armentrout without even reading the plot, because I know that I will like them because she wrote them and still has never disappointed me.

Let’s say I pause the blog for this month in beauty, I close with the best.

Things are about to get Wicked in New Orleans. Twenty-two year old Ivy Morgan isn’t your average college student. She, and others like her, know humans aren’t the only thing trolling the French Quarter for fun… and for food. Her duty to the Order is her life. After all, four years ago, she lost everything at the hands of the creatures she’d sworn to hunt, tearing her world and her heart apart. Ren Owens is the last person Ivy expected to enter her rigidly controlled life. He’s six feet and three inches of temptation and swoon-inducing charm. With forest-green eyes and a smile that’s surely left a stream of broken hearts in its wake, he has an uncanny, almost unnatural ability to make her yearn for everything he has to offer. But letting him in is as dangerous as hunting the cold-blooded killers stalking the streets. Losing the boy she loved once before had nearly destroyed her, but the sparking tension that grows between them becomes impossible for Ivy to deny. Deep down, she wants… she needs more than what her duty demands of her, what her past has shaped for her. But as Ivy grows closer to Ren, she realizes she’s not the only one carrying secrets that could shatter the frail bond between them. There’s something he’s not telling her, and one thing is for certain. She’s no longer sure what is more dangerous to her—the ancient beings threatening to take over the town or the man demanding to lay claim to her heart and her soul.

Mi chiamo Miriam e sono l'amministratore di Me and Books.
