Remy vs. Rome by Bonnie Callahan
Hello Books Lovers,
have you seen Love in the villa or other romantic films in which Americans or British find love in an Italian city? Usually the most popular cities are Verona and Rome and Florence. I like this kind of romantic comedies a lot, they are light and make the brain breathe a little from complicated things.
If you like this kind of story, then I have not a movie, but a book to recommend. A romantic comedy set in Rome, with hints of mystery, self-published very recently. Remy vs. Rome by Bonnie Callahan is the perfect book to break away from heavy reading and discover love little by little.
As you can understand, the book is set in Rome and sees the story of Remy who, after being left on New Year’s Eve by her boyfriend, decides to travel to Rome with her best friend who is going there for work. It will be a good way for Remy not to think about her ex and maybe find a beautiful Italian to replace him with.
Remy, however, is not among the lucky ones because the first boy she meets and then goes out with turns out to be a shrewd thief of a much feared and sought after association. The real adventure will begin when Detective Rossi is assigned to the case and Remy, with her knowledge of history, can actively lend a hand in the case instead of returning to the United States.
Living next to Rossi, however, will not be easy, mostly due to his charm and the fact that her ex is regaining an interest in her. Remy is very confused and Rossi is the detective who was assigned to her case. But how can you resist when you are constantly around someone so attractive? You give me an answer because I don’t know what to say. Theirs should be a business relationship only, but so many things will happen on this journey that will make it more than that.
Remy vs. Rome is a smooth and nice comedy to read with its tones of mystery, investigation, secrets and uncertainties. It is certainly a book not to be missed. I liked it very much. And if you are not convinced by the fact that it is set in Italy, but it was written by an American author, well change your mind because she met her now husband in Italy, so I think she knows something about the subject. This kind of comedy will never cease to fascinate me. And you, have you ever read such a book?
