Good morning Books Lovers,

Finally I can tell you about this spectacular author who has collaborated several times with Cassandra Clare.

Thanks to Triskelle edizioni we can have the first work in Italian by Sarah Rees Brennan, I’m talking about Unspoken, which in Italian has maintained a wonderful cover, worthy of the original one.

Up to now I have never been able to give a precise voice to Sarah’s writing, because always united with Clare’s, and now finally, after reading this beautiful work, I can talk to you about it.

Unspoken, if you didn’t read the plot, it may not seem to have a specific genre – but I haven’t read the plot, and it was great to discover the book from beginning to end.
It was enough for me to know who the author was to start reading, and I don’t regret it at the end because it was a crazy adventure.

I would define this book as a fantasy / mystery packed with adventure and mixed emotions. I must say that the only thing that disappointed me was a missed kiss that I waited for until the end, which I am still waiting for. I hope it will happen in the next books, with the hope that they will be translated.

However, moving on to the plot, Unspoken talks about Kami, a girl who engages in journalism taking care of the school newspaper. Kami has always had an “imaginary” friend she has always been able to talk to, Jared.
Her real journalism career, however, begins when the Lynburns return to Sorry-in-the-Vale, a family that, has everyone says, does not bring anything good.
Strange things begin to happen, from dead animals to much more. With the Lynburns a boy comes in town too, whose name is Jared, and this upsets Kami’s life because she discovers that this Jared is her Jared. For some strange reason she is able to communicate telepathically.
They both discover a lot of things about the Lynburns, their connection and why his family went back to Sorry-in-the-Vale.
Lynburns are sorcerers and nothing good happens if they are around, because not all of them are good, and appearances are deceiving.

I really hope you enjoy this book. Brennan has a writing capable of capturing every single nuance of the characters’ personality and is truly a unique and intriguing story in all its aspects.

Mi chiamo Miriam e sono l'amministratore di Me and Books.
