Turtles all the way down by John Green

Good morning Books Lovers,

first of all, before starting the review, I feel compelled to thank you for continuing to visit the blog even in this small period of inactivity.

If you know John Green, then surely you have heard of this book, the last masterpiece of this great man who managed to show great courage and strength through his female protagonists.

Turtles all the way down is certainly not inferior to the other stories created by this author.

A girl, Aza, suffering from a psychological problem, is our main character. We live everything with her. In this book we experience everything because there is certainly no lack of love, friendship and adventure.

This is only my second book by John Green, but I can recognize that his signature is scattered everywhere in this well-written story. He has thought of every little detail, without neglecting anything, and this is the nice thing about this author, who thinks about every little detail to add in his books, without neglecting anything, balancing everything.

‘It’s quite rare to find someone who sees the same world you see.’
Sixteen-year-old Aza never intended to pursue the mystery of fugitive billionaire Russell Pickett, but there’s a hundred thousand dollar reward at stake and her Best and Most Fearless Friend, Daisy, is eager to investigate. So together, they navigate the short distance and broad divides that separate them from Russell Pickett’s son, Davis.
Aza is trying. She is trying to be a good daughter, a good friend, a good student, and maybe even a good detective, while also living within the ever-tightening spiral of her own thoughts.
In his long-awaited return, John Green, the acclaimed, award-winning author of Looking for Alaska and The Fault in Our Stars, shares Aza’s story with shattering, unflinching clarity in this brilliant novel of love, resilience, and the power of lifelong friendship.

Mi chiamo Miriam e sono l'amministratore di Me and Books.
