Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas

Hello everyone,

it can be said that the moment of the publication of the last book of the Throne of Glass saga by Sarah J. Maas is coming, we only need the cover, as the title has been revealed. Kingdome of Ash. As I mentioned some time ago I began my rereading of the whole saga and in a few days I already devoured the first volume, and here I am reviewing it since I have never spoken specifically about this saga.

I invite you to re / read the saga too, and if you do let me know, maybe we can organize a read along, what do you think?

Without wasting more time let’s dive into this review.

This is not the usual story in which the girl must be saved by the fearless prince, but here the girl is an assassin who could very well kill the prince and the whole royal family. The throne of glass proposes something different to the usual story and for this reason the book read itself.

Celaena Sardothien is the most feared assassin in the whole Erilea, but she was stuck and captured by the king who sent her to Endovier at the age of 17, a labor camp from which many enter and nobody comes out alive. Nobody except Celaena. After a year of slavery, the crown prince goes to her. The king has called a compoetitionto find a royal assassin who will serve him for several years before being free. Celaena will be the champion proposed by Prince Dorian.

But at the palace she is forced to hide her true identity because of her fame and her past. Resume training and old habits is not easy, but not everyone hates her at the palace, and it’s thanks to Chaol, the captain of the royal guard, to Dorian and Nehemia, princess of Eyllwe, that she manages to overcome all the challenges without being eliminated.

But something darker is around the castle. Some supernatural creature is killing paladins. Nobody knows what it is. Celaena in the basement meets the ghost of Queen Elena who warns her and tells her that she must win for the good of all.

The plot of the book grows more and more, and it also becomes more and more intriguing to every page that you read. The style of the Maas is overwhelming and has a method of writing all of her own that makes us re-fall in love with every book.

Mi chiamo Miriam e sono l'amministratore di Me and Books.
