The Naked Truth by Vi Keeland
Hello Books Lovers,
Vi Keeland strikes again with another bestseller. It never stops and therefore we cannot stop with the readings of her books. Ego Maniac, another beautiful book that I must finish reading, even came out two days ago.
But today I’m gonna talk about The Naked Truth, released a few months ago, littered with the signature of Keeland everywhere. New story, new characters, but the same style, the same emotions and the same love.
Our protagonists are Layla and Gray. She is a lawyer who works in a company and after almost risking losing her job she worked hard to restore her name to the company. He is a charming entrepreneur and ex-convict who has taken all the blame to keep his ex-wife from jail.
The two of them met in prison when he was a detainee and she was going to run courses for detainees to serve the sentence that had been given to her instead of being fired. But like every couple there is always something, a secret, which makes them move away from each other.
But even if Layla tried to forget Gray, he didn’t forget her and the time spent together, so once he gets out of prison, in need of legal representatives, he goes right where Layla is. He wants to win her back.
Much will come between them, but if we know Keeland well, no adversity can keep two lovers away, and so this gives us another, unforgettable, love story that always makes us live a hundred emotions together with the characters, both from the male and female point of view, so as not to lose anything while reading, and get better into the characters’ heads. And I think she is also one of the few authors who really manages to get into the male protagonist’s head without exaggerating too much, or not identifying himself at all.
