Hello Books Lovers,

How are you? Today is Monday again and we have already arrived in the middle of September. Time flies, this year is already running out, but there are never enough good books.

Today I want to talk about a recent release for Rizzoli (I thank the publishing house immensely for sending it to me). I’m talking about “The losers club” by Andrew Clements.

By now I believe that school started in many places of the world and I especially recommend this book for kids who go to primary school or middle school mainly, without excluding that the teaching that this book has can be addressed to all ages.

The losers club is a book that has taken on a lot of meaning for me, and it has been a very pleasant and very fluent reading, not to mention the fact that the book itself is short, but still full of content.

The losers club is in fact a club that our protagonist Alec wanted to create in order to read all the books he wants without being disturbed by anyone, since his love for reading often leads him to read during lessons, being so discovered by teachers and sent by the principal. Let’s say that for him it is a loophole, and also a compromise made with his parents, because if he wants to stay in the club he must maintain a fairly high average week after week.

Alec is a kid different from the others, but soon he will discover that he is not alone, and his club will have a great success, becoming the most numerous one.

This book is, apart from the meaning that it hides, very funny and realistic I would say, because however being teased because considered different from others, even for the simple fact of having this fervent passion for reading, is a reality.

This book struck me a lot since its first pages, so I can’t give less then 4 stars.

Mi chiamo Miriam e sono l'amministratore di Me and Books.
