The Crown – TV Shows #15
Hi everyone,
Thankfully for July I managed to find the perfect TV series to be recommended. Although, I have to admit, I’m finishing the TV shows for you:) I have to start watching new ones, because the ones I watched and I liked, I’ve already recommended them all, and I do not see a sense of making you see even those that I have not liked.
Today I talk about The Crown. A phenomenal historical TV series, which tells the story of the royal house of Windsor, and how it was the life of Queen Elizabeth II since she was young until now – the queen who reigned most of all, more of Queen Victoria herself.
The Crown focuses on Queen Elizabeth II as a 25-year-old newlywed faced with the daunting prospect of leading the world’s most famous monarchy while forging a relationship with legendary Prime Minister, Sir Winston Churchill. The British Empire is in decline, the political world is in disarray, and a young woman takes the throne….a new era is dawning. Peter Morgan’s masterfully researched scripts reveal the Queen’s private journey behind the public facade with daring frankness. Prepare to be welcomed into the coveted world of power and privilege and behind locked doors in Westminster and Buckingham Palace….the leaders of an empire await.
The Crown has already had two seasons and will soon have a third, and according to wikipedia also a fourth, only that for the third they are doing a re-casting, due to the fact that the actors of the first two seasons, for the events that must be told in the third, are too young. The years have passed, so they need older actors.
I can supply you with the three names that have been decided so far.
I remind you that The Crown is a Netflix series. Yet there are no dates for the third season.
