How did your holidays go or are they going? Alas we are already in September, this symbolizes the imminent end of summer, the beginning of school, the return to work, but what this time of the year can not take away is our love for books, that’s why I bring you the review of a book I read a few days ago, I’m talking about “the bird and the sword” by Amy Harmon.
The worl-building of this book is so addictive that when you close the book you are almost disappointed to see that you are in the real world and not in the world created by the author, to live adventures with Tiras and Lark, along with the nice Boohjoni and suspicious Kjel.
The writer is of a unique lightness. The characteristic of this book is not the continuous adventures one expects, but the real secret of this book is to make readers live the apparently normal days – with their mysterious funds of course – in this world created by the author. Writing facilitates reading pleasantly and I am personally anxious to have the following in my hands.
The plot tells of a tenacious girl who despite being deprived of her mother and her own voice, has never stopped fighting, even against his father who always tries to keep her segregated at home because their lives are tied. But soon Lark will find the way to escape, ending up in an environment totally different from the one she was used to, and at the same time the same. But soon things will change and little Lark, will manage to take flight and rediscover her voice, surrounded by people who really care for her, and others who are simply very good at pretending …
I think this small window on the plot is enough to make you curious and read the book.
