Tales of the macabre by Edgar Allan Poe & Benjamin Lacombe
Hi Books Lovers,
today I’m about to talk to you about this latest work of one of my all-time favorite authors. Tales of the macabre by Edgar Allan Poe.
Poe was the first to write stories capable, in those days, of frightening his readers, the first to write thiller and horror, the creator of these genres. And maybe now you’re wondering, but if you don’t read horror, how can you love Poe? Well I just love Poe.
I read almost all his short stories borrowed from the library years ago and when I saw this volume of tales of the macabre illustrated by Benjamin Lacombe I couldn’t miss it.
Rereading these phenomenal and literally out of the ordinary stories was a huge pleasure, with beautiful images that accompanied the words.
It is a 200-page volume that I recommend to everyone, none excluded. Although this review was short, I think I have said enough. I also leave you some pictures as preview of this beautiful edition.
