Books Lovers,

welcome back on Me and books. How did you spend the holidays now aimed at the end? I hope your 2019 has started well. I want to start this new year of reviews with a 5-stars one.

Stone cold touch by Jennifer L. Armentrout, sequel to white hot kiss. Of this series, as I had already announced to you in the last f … f … friday, Armentrout is in the process of making a spin off trilogy totally focused on Zayne.

The writing, as always I end up repeating myself, but I can’t help it, is very light and fluent and capture the reader. The characters themselves are able to engage the reader inside the story. 473 pages of pure, indescribable beauty.

The story begins two weeks after the end of the previous book, white hot kiss that had ended with Roth gone to hell to save Zayne from Paiman. Layla is very sad because of this situation. The only thing she has left of Roth is Bambi and the necklace with her mother’s ring that Roth has repaired.

Zayne is always present to console Layla because she cares very much about her. But Layla’s heart breaks once again when Roth returns and tells her that what happened between them was not serious for him.

But even if Layla will now spend all the time with this statement in her head, there are other problems on the horizon because apparently, in the end, the Lilin was created, and is transforming humans into ghosts.

The adventure is certainly not lacking in this book, and as I said before, not even love, although perhaps the love triangle distracts a bit, in the end everything was well balanced. This story made me get addicted until the last page, with an ending that took my breath.

I don’t know how to express the emotions that only Armentrout makes me feel. She is a complete author, able to write a lot of different stories all full of strong emotions.

I’ll never stop saying that she is one of my favorite authors. I always look forward to her new books :), although unfortunately many times I don’t have time to read them 🙁

Mi chiamo Miriam e sono l'amministratore di Me and Books.
