Hello Books Lovers,

I know this article comes much, much later than usual, and I apologize for that, but I have just finished reading Casey McQuiston’s Red, White and Royal Blue of Hope editions and I had to delay publishing this article until to now.

What to say about this book? I know that a few days ago I called The day he came back one of the best romances I have ever read, but maybe I have to add this to that list too, probably this goes to the first place among the M / M romances I have read so far.

Red, white and royal blue is a somewhat different story, unusual and certainly impossible because our protagonists are precisely the son of the first female president of the united states of america who is preparing for the election campaign for her re-election , and the prince, third in line of succession, of England, who could not under any circumstances declare to the world that he is gay, his title categorically prevents him from doing so.

But perhaps it is this impediment to not being able to go out into the open that makes the story more intriguing. I anticipate that there are many red light scenes so if you do not like the genre I do not recommend reading, otherwise this is just the book for you, everyone should read it because it is very in line with modern times, even in chronological terms. .

The thing that made me strangest about this book is that the prince is really called Harry, like the real prince of England, and every time he was the protagonist of the scene what I had in mind was the real prince and not that of the story, but soon during the reading I got used to it.

Another of the obstacles of these two boys is precisely the physical distance, after all one lives in London and the other in Washington D.C. and the only times they can meet, which they can exploit, are public events. But do you want to know how it all started? Following a fall on the wedding cake of the crown prince, Harry’s brother, the two are forced to be seen together, meet and make people believe they are on good terms when for years Alex could not even stand the sight of the prince.

An impossible love, started by mistake, which maybe will have a happy ending one day, to find that out all you have to do is read it because I’m not going to reveal anything else about the plot. As for the writing, although the chapters are a bit long, everything is very smooth, enough to scroll the pages as if they were very short, especially when it comes to the exchange parts of emails or messages.

A nice adventure to live in first person and not through a no spoiler review, I would also recommend you to take a look at the reviews of the other blogs of the review party.

Mi chiamo Miriam e sono l'amministratore di Me and Books.
