Muse of nightmares by Laini Taylor
Good morning Books Lovers,
albeit with a little delay on my schedule, here is the review of “Muse of nightmares” by Laini Taylor, sequel to Strange the dreamer. I thank LainYA for the book.
As I already mentioned in the release report, I liked this book much more than the first. I can’t explain why, but reading about Lazlo and Sarai at last together, even if not in the way we all think we would have liked, made my heart melt.
Laini’s writing is fantastic, you know it, so I’m not here to repeat it to you, so I’ll talk a little about the evolution of the plot because Muse of Nightmares has a spectacular plot that hypnotizes the reader, because the scenes are well detailed and it is very nice, after a year, to return in this world.
The book resumes from the tragic end of the first volume, and the very particular figure of Minya is outlined. Apparently she can seem a sweet girl, but inside she hatches a lot of grudges against Eril-Fane and Weep itself. And now that Lazlo has discovered that he is like them and that he is able to control the God’s metal, she will try in every way to control him and make Lazlo do what she wants, take her to the city.
But now that Minya is showing the worst part of herself, Ruby, Feral and Sparrow don’t feel like defending her anymore. And thanks to Lazlo they also discover a lot of things that might be able to fulfill their dreams of having normal lives.
Although this book is not littered with adventures and twists and a really good story to read and savor to the end, it may also surprise you. And I can assure you is that you will fall in love with at least one character like it happened to me, and maybe I also know which one;)
