Hello Books Lovers,

and here we are with the latest review for Hunger Games. I wish I was in Suzanne Collins’ brain when she wrote this trilogy. What a trip! For the first two books, for better or worse I remembered the story from the movies. For the latter I didn’t remember anything from the movies, so every word, every sentence, every page were explosive. A continuous discovery in the evolution of history and characters.

This last volume was more linear than the others for the simple fact that it never had calm points and euphoric points, even in the moments when the bombs exploded, or in the ones there was a fight, or when they were in the district 13 to speak the scenes have always kept a pressing but calm rhythm. Let me explain better because it seems a bit of a contradiction. Whether the scenes were full of action or not, the ability to excite the reader was always there.

A book also full of answers. In this volume, Collins gave us the answers to all the questions / doubts that remained outstanding in the last 2 books, such as: what did Finnick mean when he said he got paid in secrets? And many other statements that left me speechless.

We are now at the end. The latest challenge against capitol city and President Snow, but was Snow really the bad guy in the end? You’ll find out by getting to the end of the reading. This book will amaze you, make you sad and make you fall in love with the characters as if it were the first time. And there is also to see who will Katniss will choose between Gale and Peeta, reach the epilogue and your eyes will shine with joy. One last adventure, and even if they don’t have to face the Hunger Games, the situation will not be very different from that in the arena.

I leave the plot of this book directly. Spoilers are a must-not for a trilogy finale, and at this point anything would become a spoiler. I only tell you that Peeta, Katniss, Gale, even Haymitch, are no longer the people we met in the first volume, they are different, more calculating, more fierce and more determined to win the battle than ever.

Against all odds, Katniss Everdeen has survived the Hunger Games twice. But now that she’s made it out of the bloody arena alive, she’s still not safe. The Capitol is angry. The Capitol wants revenge… The thrilling final instalment of this ground-breaking trilogy promises to be one of the most talked-about books of the year.

Mi chiamo Miriam e sono l'amministratore di Me and Books.
