Hi Books Lovers,
happy 2020! May this year be full of satisfaction and may you reach your goals. A little recap for yesterday’s post. You probably saw I published an old review in english yesterday, yes, with the excuse of the book I’m about to talk to you about, sent to me by Smith Publicity, I started publishing my english posts again, and of course to do thing well I have to translate even the older ones. Every day at 16:00, italian time, an english post will go online, except the days I’m posting new stuff.
Upon returning from these holidays I thought, why not start the year with a book that challenges every limit of the imagination of adults and children. As I mentioned before, it is in English, but it is a very simple English, probably the simplest I have ever read, without the need for native speaker notions.
Megazoic by Matthew Donald, released in 2017 and the first of a 4-volume saga, explore the possibility that, in the time of the dinosaurs, before their extinction, they were able to create real civilizations, able to think and create pieces of technology worthy of the tech we have today, and with their extinction, however, everything has been lost.
For fans of this historical period, who want to dream a little while reading something different for the first time, this is the perfect saga. It has everything a fantasy should have. It’s fun in the right places, explains the surrounding place in the correct way, and if that’s not a good enough reason you can give free rein to your imagination by imagining the most unthinkable scenarios.
I will also review the other three volumes soon, but this one deserved 4 full stars. And then if we take a look at the aesthetics also the covers are nice and placed next to each other on the bookshelves they give a nice effect. And if you find yourself with the paperback in your hand, do not be fooled by the many pages, because inside it is written large enough.
