Loki: where mischief lies by Mackenzi Lee

welcome back to the blog, I’m glad you respected our appointment for this morning because I can’t wait to talk to you, without spoilers of course, about this book based on my favorite Marvel character who stole my heart. Mackenzi Lee’s Loki edited by Oscar Vault whom I thank for bringing him to Italy, we just missed a wonder like this one here.
But moving on to the book, what to say? Or rather, what not to say? Loki will spend much of the book pages doing everything to get approval from his father and brother until a moment of breakup. In the end we all have that moment when after so many attempts we say enough! and we change our approach. And that’s exactly what happens to our protagonist.
Asgard itself and its inhabitants have always made him feel as if he did not belong to that place, the only one that made him feel appreciated was Amora, until the moment when both make a mess and she takes the blame for both and get banned from Asgard.
But to make matters worse, trying to do good in a mission entrusted to him and Thor by their father Odin, Loki combines another disaster. A trouble that will infuriate the father of all gods, and even Thor, in order not to lose his father’s approval, points his finger at him.
And yes, Loki is somewhat unfortunate in this first part, but if you have seen the Marvel films you will certainly have noticed that even there, not even by the Avengers, he is well-liked, until he tries the opposite with his claws and teeth . And this is what he will also try to do with his father, asking him to entrust him with another mission, and he will succeed, even if not as he wanted.
He is sent to Earth to investigate murders which according to the SHARP society, the only ones aware of the existence of other worlds, are of supernatural cause. Loki takes it mostly as punishment but has no other choice. Initially he does not take his role seriously, and his arrival on Earth is not the best. Not even London in those days will make a good impression to him. However, everything changes when he realizes that the situation is serious … but he will change even more when he finds out that his old friend, the enchantress is on Earth.
Amora has always brought out the worst in him. She has always been a negative influence on Loki, and even now on Earth she will bewitch him, using his weaknesses, but to know how this beautiful adventure ends, you know what to do …
