Let it snow by John Green, Maureen Johnson & Lauren Myracle
Good morning Books Lovers,
due to a small programming problem this article arrives two days late today … I hope this article is worth the wait.
I don’t know if you have noticed that Netflix has been producing many films from very famous books lately, and it is a really interesting and beautiful thing. Netflix is getting bigger and bigger as a platform and is always full of interesting content.
One of the latest books published at the end of 2019 is Let it snow, based on the homonymous book written in six hands by John Green, Maureen Johnson and Lauren Myracle. The film stars young actors who are making their way into the movie industry, such as Kiernan Shipka star in The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Michell Hope star in the film trilogy Descendants, Isabela Moner who plays Dora the explorer in the homonymous film, and many others.
But now let’s talk a little about the book. It does not differ much from the film – as I already told you in another article there are some films that have a drastic detachment from the original story – and the real feature of this book is that it explores friendship and love in all its nuances. All the protagonists are connected to each other in some way, they have something in common that will make them face almost the same adventure.
I have never read anything about Lauren Myracle, but knowing the pen of the other two authors I can say that their touch is everywhere and with a flowing story they have created a story about teenagers pleasant to read.
And also, if you lack the Christmas atmosphere, this book is perfect for getting you back in that mood even for a couple of hours.
Christmas magic, blossoming romances, and unexpected friendships are intertwined in this collection of three holiday-inspired tales for young adult readers. Original.
