Death on the Nile by Agatha Christie

And hello-again Books Lovers,

Here is the second graphic novel of the day, also thanks to the legendary Oscar Mondadori who has now entered the minds of his readers and publishes only interesting things like Death on the Nile by Agatha Christie, soon in the form of a film at the cinema that I will watch only for the beautiful Armie Hammer, and if you don’t know him Shame on You!

Death on the Nile again sees as the protagonist Poirot, one of the investigators to whom Agatha Christie has dedicated more books, the Oscar itself a few months ago published an entire volume of the Oscar draghi series dedicated to the stories about Poirot. This story follows the events of Murder on the Orient Express, also released in the form of a film adaptation not long ago with very famous actors as protagonists.

But Death on the Nile has a whole new story, new characters, and a new case for Poirot to investigate, a new murder to solve. And the graphic novel I can tell you is very nice. As pages it is short, but in those 60 of which it is composed it manages to express all the suspense of the story. And then the drawings are so colorful and descriptive that they are a joy for the eyes, even if you only have to read it from your mobile phone like I did.

The characters are many, yes, so remembering all the names, especially after so few pages of story, is not easy, but they are so well done that during the investigations one leads you away from suspecting the other and so on. They will all pass under Poirot’s watchful gaze and only he will eventually be able to find out who, of all the ship’s guests, killed the young girl. And look look, the killer is always the least suspected one, who also seems to have the most stable motive.

A diverse group of travelers are sailing the Nile on the luxurious Karnak boat. Among them the charming Linnet Ridgeway, the richest girl in England, on her honeymoon. Each of the characters, however, has its own story and secret, carefully hidden under an impeccable facade. Among the tourists there is also Hercule Poirot, and fortunately. Because in the space of a few hours aboard the Karnak, two crimes are consummated, and the peaceful cruise turns into a desperate hunt for a diabolically cunning killer.

Mi chiamo Miriam e sono l'amministratore di Me and Books.
