Hi Books Lovers,

how are you doing with your readings? I finally started reading Darkdeep and liked it much more than I had expected.

It is a linear book, full of adventure, and friendship, and sometimes even fear. Cute in content and beautiful the cover of Mondadori which is equal to the original one.

The protagonists are Nico, Emma and Tyler, and then we will have the addition of Opal. The first three are always together, and although they have different personalities, they are best friends. Opal was friends with Nico once, but then her family changed neighborhood and they put some distance between each other. Yet all four are together, after an unpleasant event with the bully Logan, to find Darkdeep.

Still Cove is a place where no one ever goes, it is dangerous and there are stories of a monster that lives below. But when Logan throws Nico’s drone, built by him and costing him a lot of money, the boy is forced to go down there, and his friends follow him.

Here they discover an island that nobody knew existed, a rowboat to get there, and on the island, on a pond, a floating wooden house, and in the basement of the house it, the Darkdeep, a circle of water in able to create unimaginable things only by reading the mind of those who dive into it.

And it is precisely with this discovery that the adventure begins, because even if initially the guys took the blind hole as a game, it is not at all, it is much more, and it is something much more dangerous than it might seem.

You will have to get to the end of the reading to find out more, and even then you will have to wait for the second volume. You will never have enough of these 4 kids, who will eventually become 5, and on the original cover of the third volume of the trilogy coming out this year in English we can see 6 figures. Who knows who else will join this group of guys and if they will really understand what Darkdeep is, and how to defeat it …

Everyone in Timbers knows Still Cove is off-limits, with its creepy Beast sightings and equally terrifying legends. But when a bullying incident sends twelve-year-old Nico Holland over a cliff and into Still Cove’s icy waters, friends Tyler and Emma–and even Opal Walsh, who usually runs with the popular kids–rush to his rescue . . . and discover a mysterious island hiding in the murky, swirling mists below. Though the island appears uninhabited, the kids can’t shake a feeling that something about it is definitely not right. Their suspicions grow when they stumble upon an abandoned houseboat filled with all sorts of curiosities: odd-looking weapons, unnerving portraits, maps to unknown places, and a glass jar containing something completely unidentifiable. And in its lowest depths churns a dark, deep secret. As the group delves deeper into this mysterious new clubhouse, their lives begin to intertwine in weird and dangerous ways. For something ancient has awakened . . . and it can detect not only their wishes and dreams, but also their darkest, most terrible imaginings. Do they have what it takes to face the shadowy secrets lurking within their own hearts? Told from alternating points of view, this pulse-racing tale from bestselling duo Ally Condie and Brendan Reichs is the start of a high-stakes, thrilling series about friendship and believing in yourself–and each other.

Mi chiamo Miriam e sono l'amministratore di Me and Books.
