City of Bones by Cassie Clare & Cassie Jean - Graphic Novel

Happy Monday Books Lovers,

*I remind you that this reviews are translated as they were written the first time, you may find some of the introductions not appropriate like this one, this is the original translation of the italian version I wrote at the time.

we are approaching Christmas now, and I would say it is time to start targeting the reviewed books for possible Christmas gifts. If you haven’t completed your purchases yet, and are thinking about some bookwarming gifts, perhaps the books I will review from now until the Christmas holidays might interest you. One of the most recommended is Cassie Clare and Cassie Jean’s City of Bones, the perfect graphic novel for Shadowhunters lovers. Thanks to oscar vault for the copy.

Jean’s designs are nothing short of realistic and spectacular. I loved every single page. Thanks to Cassie’s hand, even the lines stick to the original text and it was exciting to re-read – for the fourth time in my case – the beginning of the most beautiful adventure I’ve ever read. Going back to dreaming with Clary, Jace, Alec, Isabelle, Simon, Magnus and all the others is priceless. I very much hope that Oscar Vault will publish the other volumes soon.

And if you didn’t know, this graphic, as well as the new copies with the original covers of the entire Shadowhunters chronicles, are edited by Rossella and Alessia, the admin of Shadowhunters.it, the official Italian community. They took care of this volume down to the smallest detail, such as the breath-taking color illustrations of each individual character at the very beginning of the volume.

Having the characters that we have always only imagined now drawn has a completely different effect. Reading the lines we know by heart with the faces of the characters next to them makes the story even more realistic, exciting … I want to re-live the whole Shadowhunters adventure over and over again.

These in my opinion are those books that will never die. Cassie Clare is like the female version of Tolkien of our times, able to write stories that will end up thrilling entire generations!

I have nothing more to add because, in short, this book speaks for itself with only the cover. So I leave you the plot, my evaluation and as always the link to the purchase. Don’t miss it !!

Mi chiamo Miriam e sono l'amministratore di Me and Books.
