Blog Tour Review: Valley of Time by Jeremy D. Holden

Good morning everyone,

I’m here today to give you the review of Valley of Time by Jeremy D. Holden, the sequel to Sea of Doubt, also sent to me by Smith Publicity. This review is also one of the stops of the Blog Tour of this book.

Of course, despite being the Blog Tour, I have to be honest about this book. I did not loved it, just as I did not love the first, but there were many things in the book that I really liked. I would have preferred a lot more adventure but you can not have it all in life.

Unlike the first book, here the protagonist must promote space travel and the opportunity to meet extraterrestrial life.

What bored me a lot, making me almost lose hope, was the first half of the book, which is pretty much a copy of half the first book. In these pages, the protagonist and all the characters are re-introduced.

At first it may look like a copy of Sea of Doubt, but I assure you that apart from some small details, it is not at all. It’s totally different and beautiful at the same time.

Certainly, as mentioned in the first volume, it does not fit in perfection with my genre, but I thank Smith Publicity for sending it to me, it was worth it, also because the story told by the author raises many questions and doubts related to our world, the space, questions that we would never have thought of.

The plot hides a goal that the author has managed to reach.

I do not feel like giving more than three stars, but that does not mean that it would not be worth it. Every judgment is subjective.

Let me know in the comments what your last reads were.

To the next time,

Miriam.
