Dear Books Lovers,

finally I can bring you the review of Black Panther: the young prince by Ronald L. Smith published by Oscar Mondadori on May 28 that allows us a little discover the past of T’Challa, King of Wakanda, Black Panther, Marvel hero, in moments when he was just a teenage prince with many responsibilities already on his shoulders.

I’ll get you straight into the plot. Wakanda is in danger so the King sends T’Challa and M’Baku to the United States, under false names, without revealing their identities to anyone, so as to keep his heir safe. The city they are sent to is Chicago. Here they also begin to go to school to integrate, and both of them make friends, different friends however, which therefore lead M’Baku and T’Challa to move away from each other.

However, they are in a different environment from what they are used to, they have to settle down, and having different friendships they also settle in this new city in a different way. But one thing that impressed me a lot was the adventure of T’Challa in total Marvel film style. I read this book in a few hours just like I was watching a Black Panther movie. The rhythm of the story, the method of storytelling, and the more than valid story made me love him a lot, and if before I wanted to read out of curiosity all the other Marvel books like the one on Thanos and Miles Morales, now I know I have to because as a Marvel fan, as I cannot miss a film, I can not even miss a book at this point, and the next I know it will be funko pop, since already in Boston I bought the Happy Hogan one with check from the Spiderman Away from home and that of Doctor Strange all in gold.

Anyway going back to the plot, it will be thanks to his new friends that T’Challa will defeat the enemy, because even if the Wakanda is under attack his enemies are everywhere, and one of these is precisely the villain of this story. T’Challa will be forced to put on his suit, and like any good leader he will be able to bring everyone to safety, without telling his father what was happening so to spare him from other worries.

A great hero even as a young man, and without giving you spoilers I just tell you that we will find a character who surprised me a bit to find him here, but at the same time he made me very happy because I hoped it was him.

The perfect book for any Marvel fan, for any superhero fan, and simply for any reader who likes to see good triumph.

Mi chiamo Miriam e sono l'amministratore di Me and Books.
