Hello Books Lovers,

I remind you that this reviews are translated as they were written back then when they were first published here on the blog.

Today here in Italy we all wake up in the national red zone situation … What we can do is not much, travel, school, all blocked until April 3.

One thing we can do is keep reading as books are never lacking and they represent the only means able to distract us from the misfortunes that are happening in Italy and in the world – the only thing TV can do in this period it is to create terror and chaos.

So here I am talking to you about Aurora Rising, out today thanks to the fantastic mondadori who, despite the problems, always continues to give us beautiful gifts.

I liked Aurora rising a lot because it’s a space adventure full of adventures, and as always in the best stories, mystery and love.

I found many parts of this book in some ways similar to Kass Morgan’s book Light Years … But the characters and the story, despite the similarities, couldn’t be more different.

Our protagonists are Tyler, team leader, and his teammates Scarlett, Cat, Kal, Finian and Zila. An addition to this team is Aurora, a survivor of an old colony, and wanted by the authorities for whatever reason.

Aurora has managed to survive more than 200 years in cryo and who knows what secrets she carries with her. Secrets that will endanger everyone around her. But our guys, despite the hesitation, will not be discouraged. Tyler is a good leader, and they have a mission to accomplish.

As for the writing in the first few chapters, you can see the touch of Kristoff’s flashbacks, but you also can notice that they put a lot of effort to understand what to write. Together with Kauffman they made a book more for children and therefore had to give up a lot of his way of creating the personality of the characters. All in all really smooth and pleasant to read because it is always rich and interesting.

The first book of an adventure that you cannot miss for any reason.

Mi chiamo Miriam e sono l'amministratore di Me and Books.
