Bossman by Vi Keeland
Ehi guys,
today’s review is about Bossman by Vi Keeland, the first book of my new collaboration with Sperling & Kupfer.
It was a while now that I did not read a new adult / adult and, even if this book came out a year ago, I really wanted to read something new about this author of which some time ago I had already read two books, so I requested and finished it almost immediately, even though I already had other review copies to read.
Although the love story between Chase and Reese is full of details as is normal for an adult book, their story is very engaging and exciting. It is not the usual story pulls and springs, in which the boy is always jealous and possessive.
Of course, Chase sometimes is jealous, but doesn’t do anything he shouldn’t do. One would expect someone like him to beat the boy who flirt with his girlfriend, but he solves things peacefully, talking to Reese, without acting rashly.
Chase is a tormented boy. Years ago his girlfriend was killed and he never managed to go on until he met Reese in a restaurant. They meet other times after then, and he ends up becoming her boss. He wants her, falls in love with her, and the same is for Reese, but he is her boss and she has some past sleeping with her boss.
The attraction between them is too strong and Reese eventually yields. All goes well between them until Chase finds out that his girlfriend had been killed by someone close to her with a weapon given to him by Chase. He decided to move away from Reese with the security that in doing so would protect her, but it is not.
Reese does not give up, and like every self-respecting love story, happily ever after will reign.
Bossman is a book that must absolutely be read. Sliding, passionate and above all, a book that will melt your hearts making you madly fall in love with the protagonists.
To the next time,
