White hot kiss by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Today I have the pleasure of reviewing another book by Jennifer L. Armentrout, White hot kiss of which I had mentioned in the previous review, the one about Frost like Night by Sara Raasch.
I can say for sure, after reading many books of this author, that her stories of love involving, amalgamated great in fantasy stories, exceed them all. They are so enthralling that I still am amazed that the author in the same year – for example, 2018 – publish from three to five books, and even if the basis for the release dates seems that she doesn’t devote to the book as long as necessary, each of her books are always more beautiful, engaging and innovative than the previous one. Her writing style is out of the ordinary.
Let’s consider our protagonist Layla. She is a teenager, she does things that all the guys her age do. Goes to school. But that’s not all, because despite her seemingly ordinary life, she’s half demon and half gargoyle, she can not kiss a boy because she risks stealing his soul, and she was raised by the Gargoyle, which are a kind of demon hunters.
I have to tell you the truth, I bought the book because from the cover it seemed like a real romance, and I know how good Jennifer is with that genre, but when I read the plot and I saw that there was also fantasy in it I was more attracted and I started reading it almost immediately.
White hot kiss was a breath of fresh air because if you read the previous review, I was stuck with Frost like night for a lot of time, and I needed something different to distract me a bit. Jennifer is always the perfect candidate to get me over the reader’s block.
In this book there is also a love triangle, and in general I don’t go crazy for them, but there are those of Cassandra Clare and Jennifer that every time melt my heart, and as usual, when it comes to a saga, Armentrout builds an ending that makes me suffer a lot. It’s as if she knew which characters is capable of capturing a reader’s heart, and she purposely decides to make something bad happen to make us suffer.
Our protagonists in this book are Zayne, Gargoyle grew up with the protagonist, Layla half demon and half Gargoyle and Roth, the charming Roth ( the boy of the cover), prince of the underworld that rises to the surface and enrolled in school only for protect and help Layla.
The plot of White hot kiss is compelling, the pressing pace, and I can not wait to be able to read the second volume, I absolutely must know what’s going to happen to each one of them.
